Artiwood appointed Kinderfeets distributor
Educational toys wholesaler Artiwood is expanding its offering with US brand Kinderfeets, adding to its ever-growing portfolio.
It’s a match made in eco-heaven with both Artiwood and Kinderfeets committed to producing sustainable products for kids.
While looking for a balance bike for his three year old son, Artiwood owner John Daniels thought it would be great to find an eco-friendly brand that would fit in with the company’s existing ranges.
“After spending some hours on the web I discovered Kinderfeets based in the US,” he explains. “After contacting them I found they were in the process of expanding and we then started discussing the possibility of Artiwood Educational Toys becoming their exclusive distributer in Australia. After getting some samples sent over and trialling the balance bike on my son and a three wheeler Tiny Tot on a friend’s 12 month old boy it became clear that this was a brand that we wanted to represent and supply to our customers.
“All the brands we represent are sustainable and eco in one form or another and with Kinderfeets balance bikes being made from sustainable birch wood (a replenishable source) and the airless EVA tires being biodegradable their products fit our criteria perfectly,” he adds.
Derived from the Dutch word for ‘children’ and ‘bicycle’, a Kinderfeets is a wooden balance bike designed to ease the transition to a pedal-powered bicycle at a toddler’s comfort level. It provides a great starting point for children preparing to ride a conventional two-wheeled bicycle and is a clever alternative to training wheels, as it is considered a superior form of learning to balance on two wheels.
The first Kinderfeets shipment of balance bikes and three wheeler tiny tots is expected by the end of February, however, its range has already been featured on Artiwood’s website and Daniels says they are getting some great feedback.
“We are getting enquiries from our customers asking when they can be ordered. We think Kinderfeets balance bikes have some lovely points of difference with their chalk board finish allowing kids to decorate them the way they like plus foot pegs etc.”
Artiwood is exhibiting at the Sydney Home and Giving this month.
