clients, media and vip guests got a sneak peek at albi imports’ new kitchenware ranges as the company flaunted its new products and collections at an exclusive afternoon tea held at the novotel hotel in sydney olympic park this week.
“being able to present our products in more detail also helps to educate people about the functionality of a product, how it coordinates in a particular collection and reinforces the brands,” explains albi imports’ marketing coordinator, amanda mooney.
the afternoon tea is one of a series of inaugural road show events albi imports has coordinated in key locations around australia prior to major trade fairs.
“albi imports is introducing more than 300 stock keeping units this season to their kitchenware range,” mooney says.
“some of the highlights include the parlour story, which is all about sweet things, pretty pastel ceramic and coloured glass serving dishes, milkshake glasses, fondue sets, cake stands and canisters with heart-shapes.”
perhaps the most popular range included in albi imports’ recent collections, the parlour series generated great interest at the company’s melbourne road show events earlier this year and ties in with current trends towards retro designs, classic colours and feminine embellishments.
“an emerging trend spotted in europe recently has also resulted in various fromage-inspired items such as a set of ceramic cheese markers and knife, decorative cheese platters featuring the eiffel tower that are gorgeously packaged in a hat box and novelty cork utensils,” mooney says, noting the company’s other new releases.
“cupcakes are still the rage and our davis & waddell brand continues with the sweet theme with a cupcake/cookie decorating set, cupcake lazy susan, kitchen timer and magnets.”
albi imports has also expanded its popular terra range to include smaller glazed terracotta dishes and traditional tunisian-style hand-painted serving bowls and plates, and has also introduced a new range called the kitchen garden, which brings the outdoors in with leaf-shaped serving plates, leaf embossed platters and herb pots.
