AGHA takes over Fashion Exposed
The Australian Gift and Homewares Association (AGHA) has acquired apparel, footwear and accessories trade show Fashion Exposed to enhance the Home & Giving Fair by providing visitors with a wider offering.
Fashion Exposed, previously owned by Informa Exhibitions, will be held in Halls 5 and 6 at Sydney Olympic Park. It will be connected to the Home & Giving Fair via two internal visitor thoroughfares but will also have its own entry.
“The acquisition adds massive value to our Sydney Home & Giving Fair which is now the largest and most comprehensive gift, homewares and fashion event in Sydney,” says AGHA executive general manager, Omer Soker.
The decision to take ownership of the dedicated fashion trade show also reflects a shift in the industry towards lifestyle stores with retailers offering a little bit of everything to provide a better experience for customers.
“The challenging environment over the past few years has generated a need for retailers to diversify their in-store product offering and create a show that provides the industry with a one-stop-shop,” says Harvey Stockbridge, managing director of Informa Exhibitions. “This new feature to the Home & Giving Fair will offer a unique opportunity for buyers to access a more comprehensive and diverse range of products, all under the one roof.”
Fashion Exposed will also feature at the Melbourne Home & Giving Fair in August.
