Dean Osmond of BPM has been selected as the new president of the Australian Gift and Homewares Association (AGHA).
Following the resignation of Michelle Lawson (DARLIN) as a director and stepping down as president, Osmond agreed to take over the role. He has been a director of AGHA for many years and brings a great deal of commercial experience to the role of president and chair of the board.
Kevin Porter (Rayell) and Amie Gibson (Beloved Scents) have also resigned as directors of the board, which currently includes Dean Osmond (president), Gregory Collier (vice president), Tim Gillespie (treasurer), Andrew McLean (director) and Sharlene Toister (director).
Additionally, Wayne Castle, who resigned last month as the CEO of AGHA, has decided to stay on and continue to drive the success and profile of the AGHA Gift Fairs and the business.
“It is exciting to continue my journey with the AGHA team and together with the board,” he says.
“We all look forward to announcing some amazing new developments for the AGHA Gift Fairs to ensure they grow as the industry led trade events for all Australian wholesalers and retailers.”
The recent Sydney Gift Fair was a great success and the upcoming Melbourne Gift Fair (30 July to 3 August 2022) is already 57 per cent sold, ensuring it will be a vibrant and exciting event.
