In light of recent developments with the surge of the Omicron variant across the globe, the organisers of IHGF Delhi Spring Fair have pushed back the date to the end of March.
The show will now be held from 30 March to 3 April 2022 at its regular venue, India Expo Centre & Mart in New Delhi, India.
The move is to ensure the health and safety of its exhibitors and hassle free travel for buyers, as hopefully many restrictions will have been lifted by then.
“The last physical i.e. in person edition of the fair was held in October 2021 (Autumn) and was visited by a large number of overseas buyers and buying consultants/representatives from 90 countries,” says organiser EPCH director general, Rakesh Kumar.
“The success of this fair gave a message of confidence to the world that ‘India has opened up for business for buyers from all across the world’.
“After taking the virtual route throughout 2020, buyers enjoyed a safe, comfortable and rewarding sourcing experience at the autumn edition. It was put together with all necessary safety protocols and SOPs pertaining to Covid-19.
“The upcoming edition too will be organised with all such practices in place. Spaced out displays and eased visitation offer a unique and safe premium sourcing environment that will give buyers unprecedented visiting experience and value for time,” he adds.
More than 2,000 exhibitors will display their products across 14 exhibition halls covering product categories such as gifts and decoratives, furniture and accessories, home furnishings, bathroom and bath accessories, educational toys and games, and fashion jewellery and accessories.
Theme pavilions, live craft making, workshops and seminars will again be part of the trade fair experience.
