Clean + Conscious Awards celebrate ethical & sustainable products
Now running in its third year, the awards celebrate exceptional products that are safe, non-toxic, ethical, sustainable and socially responsible.
Founded as the Australian Non-Toxic Awards back in 2019, the awards are the brainchild of blogger, mother and practising optometrist Emily Fletcher, who founded the awards when she identified the need to celebrate safe and socially responsible products.
“We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Clean + Conscious Awards 2021,” she enthuses.
“Since the inception of the awards back in 2019, we have noticed great change. More and more brands are working hard to produce products that are healthier for their customers, kinder to our planet and beneficial to local and global communities.”
Categories include skincare, body, baby, kids, home and zero waste with winners such as Koala Eco (home household living), Ecococoon (zero waste reusable cup), Honeysticks (kids activities 2+) and Sabbia (skincare).
Indeed, Sabbia won four awards in total, which is quite a feat for a company that was only born two years ago after Burleigh Heads founders Katie and Dave found themselves on a remote beach in Sri Lanka and devastated over the amount of single-use personal items they were surrounded by.
“To be acknowledged by the Clean and Conscious awards and panellists instils global belief in our young brand and our mission to reduce single use in the beauty and skincare industry,” says Katie.
Sabbia is an ethical brand with minimal impact on the environment that creates unique facial kits out of sustainable, biodegradable, reusable and chemical free tools.
“The awards have already proven social proof for the awarded products as they have grown in sales and wholesale requests.
“As a young formulator it’s an honour to be recognised and awarded Gold, Silver and Editors Choice for my unique formulations,” she adds.
All finalist products have been scientifically researched and scrutinised by Fletcher, while each finalist product has been hands-on reviewed by a panel of 45 industry experts.
“By running these fair, transparent and non-biased awards, we are providing consumers with a trustworthy resource where they can discover products verified to be both clean and conscious.
“In our directory, you’ll discover honest information on each product’s ingredients or materials, further information on how each product is ethical, sustainable and responsible, and hands-on product reviews from our expert panel.”
