Hardwick & Cesko branches out with soft furnishings
Lifestyle brand Hardwick & Cesko is best known for its paper cut art and Australian furniture, but is now expanding its portfolio with the launch of a cushion range at the Melbourne Home and Giving Fair August 2 to 6.
It is the first time the label has created a soft furnishings collection. The cushions are designed to complement the style of Hardwick & Cesko’s other products.
“I have a personal passion for cushions – some people can’t have enough handbags, well I can’t get enough of cushions,” says Melanie Hardwick, designer. “So this is the reason behind our first foray into soft furnishings with this limited run of vibrant linen and cotton blend cushions.
“Our brand has always been about quality and timeless design and art, so these cushions work on their own or in pairs and are a really lovely addition to anyone’s home. I developed the collection with the idea in mind for them to complement a broad range of interior styles.”
The Mod Block cushion range was inspired by Sydney’s playful, hip and relaxed culture. They are made with a mix of linen and cotton and feature an invisible zip. Only 30 of each design have been made.
“I curated this range as I thought cushions were a good way to show a bit of my fun and outgoing personality, yet my need to have products that don’t date and stand the test of time with trends,” adds Hardwick.
“The linen and cotton mix gives the cushions a raw, natural look, but is also soft to touch and doesn’t crease, as well as being super durable and environmentally friendly.”
Hardwick & Cesko will also launch a range of acrylic homewares – such as geometric shaped coasters and placemats – at the Home & Giving Fair.
