Lula & Bella moves into wholesaling
Print and paper product brand Lula & Bella has moved into wholesaling after launching its custom stationery design business a year ago.
The three person team of Sarah, Lucy and Juliet recognised demand in the market for quality stationery available at retail.
“Creating a range of shelf ready stationery that incorporates high-end design and artisan printing techniques, such as letterpress, was a natural and exciting progression for Lula & Bella,” says Lucy Edison, Lula & Bella head designer and co-founder.
“Fatigued with outmoded designs, poor quality printing and overused punch lines our dream is to bring innovative illustration, artisan printing methods and a premium finished product to retail customers. We want to supply Australia with unique, happy stationery that will make every occasion sing.”
Lula & Bella designs are hand-drawn and printed in Australia. The brand offers greeting cards, gift tags, calling cards and letter-pressed invitation suites.
Edison says Lula & Bella’s first trade fair, First Instyle at Life Instyle Sydney was a great step towards opening up the label to retailers.
“Life Instyle was seamlessly organised and beautifully executed,” she adds. “The atmosphere was great, and we met some inspiring people, buyers and fellow exhibitors alike. From a business point of view we were overwhelmed and encouraged by the positive reaction to our designs and products. It reaffirmed our belief that people value quality, boutique stationery that has been thoroughly thought through.
“As a young business our focus for the rest of 2014 will be to develop new product ranges in response to the feedback we have gained from Life Instyle. We look forward to the journey ahead.”
