With travel restrictions still in place around the world, trade fair organisers have had to adapt their offering and find new ways to connect suppliers with buyers and retailers.
As life is returning to some sort of normal and businesses are restarting and reopening again, now is more important than ever to get the latest stock for your business and your customers.
IHGF Delhi Fair, originally planned for April, has moved to a virtual platform and will be held from 13 to 18 July 2020. More than 1,500 exhibitors will be showcasing over 2,000 products.
The six day event will have products on display from Indian manufacturers and artisans for the home, lifestyle, fashion and textile segments and will focus on sustainability, fair trade and innovation.
Organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), buyers can access the show at a time that’s convenient for them, from the comfort of their home or office.
Indian companies are known for using natural materials such as cotton, hemp, jute, bamboo, kora grass and burlap, to name a few, in products such as wood carvings; carpets and rugs; furniture & accessories; glassware; fashion jewellery & accessories; hand-printed textiles; lamps and lighting; gifts and decoratives; home textiles and home accessories; bathroom and bath accessories, etc.
Theme pavilions, trend arenas, knowledge webinars, craft demonstrations and ramp presentations will also be part of the virtual experience.
EPCH is no stranger to virtual fairs as the digital show for Home Textiles concluded a little over a week ago and was a great success.
Buyers from 80 countries visited the virtual show including Australia, US, UK, Spain, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Germany and France.
“Back to back organisation of virtual fairs is the result of the [Covid-19] pandemic thus enabling the council to provide a viable alternative platform to exporters to do business since the organisation of physical fairs is currently not possible,” explains EPCH chairman, Shri Passi.
