Australia’s top online retailers named
The 2019 Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS) finalists were on Wednesday named across a range of categories―with five winners in each category.
The award categories cover a range of subject areas including People’s Choice Awards, Best Pureplay Retailer, Best Multichannel Retailer, Online Retail Marketing and a host of other categories.
The awards received a record number of submissions, up 27 per cent from the previous year.
The finalists include leading local and international brands, such as The Iconic, Showpo, Woolworths, Catch, Cotton On and Appliances Online.
In the Best Pureplay Retailer category, Showpo, Temple & Webster, Booktopia, Catch, Appliances Online and the Iconic feature, while in the Best Online Retail Marketing category Lush Cosmetics, Showpo, Tinyme, Naked Wines, the Iconic and Moments Condoms feature.
Event director Matt Smith says that the awards showcase some of Australia’s best retailers.
“The ORIAS are proving to be Australia’s showpiece e-commerce event,” he says.
“We’re thrilled that we can recognise retailers who are constantly adapting and evolving to ensure that they succeed in today’s modern marketplace. The judges undertook a rigorous process to determine the finalists, and each entry was evaluated according to a number of exacting criteria.
“We continue to see a tremendous growth in recognition and unique entrants due to our partnership with Australia Post and the People’s Choice Awards. We look forward to continuing this partnership.”
