HK gift fair adds new outdoor zone to its show
Next month the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will welcome more than 4,300 exhibitors to the 33rd edition of its show at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Providing a one-stop marketing and sourcing platform, the fair is known for its international appeal with pavilions from the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Macau, Japan, Korea, Thailand, the UK and Italy showcasing their products to an ever increasing number of visitors and buyers.
This year a new section will be added, the World of Camping & Outdoor Goods, to cater to buyer demand. With major events held this year including the FIFA World Cup, Asian Games and the Winter Olympics, as well as a renewed focus on wellbeing and healthy living, this latest show addition made perfect sense to the organisers. Products to be showcased include climbing packs and daypacks, diving products, camping gear and various sports items.
Hall of Fine Designs will be back by popular demand, with brands such as B.Duck from Hong Kong; Sanrio, a character gifts brand from Japan; German writing instrument brand Kaweco; ATLANTIS, an Italian headwear brand; Italian stationery classic Moleskine; SOL’S, an outdoor sports equipment brand from France; Premec, a luxury pen brand from Switzerland, and Tangle, a puzzle game brand from the United States all exhibiting.
Also returning are World of Gift Ideas, featuring products with creative and trend-setting designs, while the zone of Fashion Accessories will feature handbags, hair ornaments, sunglasses and fashion jewellery. Other product zones include Fine Porcelain Gifts, Licensed Gifts, Advertising Gifts & Premium, Tech Gifts and Party & Festive Items.
For businesses that have only launched in recent months there is Startup Zone, where new entrepreneurs and designers present innovative and unique pieces. This section was introduced last year for new businesses wanting to reach global buyers and industry peers―participating start-ups can join the ‘Startup . Smart Launch’ sessions to introduce their products and business ideas to industry players.
Added value comes from the concurrent Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, which will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo, offering expanded sourcing opportunities for gift and premium buyers.
The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is held from 27 to 30 April.
