Tiger Tribe wins product of the year award
Aussie children’s toy supplier Tiger Tribe has won the 2017 Arts & Craft Product of the Year Award for its Shrinkies―Ultimate Collection.
Scooping the award at the Toy & Hobby Retailer Industry Awards, Tiger Tribe co-founder Anthony Green couldn’t be more proud. The winners are voted for by retailers, suppliers, licensors and members of the public in an online poll.
“We’re incredibly delighted to receive this award for our Shrinkies,” he says.
“Kids just love this crafting product because it engages them through the entire process. And they end up with something really cool at the end. Parents love the product because it is mess free and nostalgic.”
Shrinkies―Ultimate Collection is a self-contained activity set for kids aged five to 10 years. Each set includes everything you need to make your own shrink art key rings or jewellery. Simply colour the illustrated designs, cut them out, pop them in the oven and then watch them magically shrink to 40 per cent of their original size. As the artwork shrinks the colours become more intense.
“If you recall shrinking chip packets in the oven when you were young, then you will understand the magic of watching Shrinkies contract, curl up and then flatten out in the oven,” says Green.
Tiger Tribe will be exhibiting at the Australian Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair where it will launch six new products including Magic Painting World, Foil Art and Transfer Magic.
