Darlin introduces new collection
Due to popular demand, Aussie wholesale supplier Darlin is launching a new decorative range for the gift, souvenir and hospitality industries.
Over the past year, the company has seen more and more requests for custom acacia wood products.
“We have been regularly seeing repeat clients ordering large quantities of customised product,” explain Darlin owners and directors, Michelle and Phil Lawson.
“Steak houses, bars and restaurants large and small are buying our boards branded with their logo, and gift and souvenir retailers are branding our products with their destination or attraction.”
The ecofriendly nature of acacia, as well as its antibacterial and odour resistant properties, has made the line one of the most successful in the Darlin portfolio.
“Our customers know that the quality of our acacia ware is exceptional… and we have thought long and hard about how to add a uniquely Australian element to the product without detracting from the beauty of the timber itself.”
The duo has teamed up with two Australian artists to come up with a decorative acacia range, one in resin and one featuring hand-painted aboriginal designs―two artists, two different mediums and two distinct styles.
“The samples have arrived, and they are stunning. They have been shown to our existing client base and the forward orders are flooding in―from iconic Australian restaurants and hospitality establishments, to small boutique gift retailers looking for something quintessentially Australian. We couldn’t be more excited and more proud to be supporting two emerging Australian artists.”
The decorative range of Darlin acacia ware will be launched at Reed Gift Fairs in Melbourne this August.
