Aussie wholesaler adds European brush brand to its portfolio
Homewares wholesaler Heaven in Earth has been given sole distribution rights for German brand Kellerbursten.
While the company has been around for more than 150 years, it was only in the last couple of months that Heaven in Earth has secured its distribution in both Australia and New Zealand and can now officially tell its story, says director Jocelyn Van Hoven.
“I found them through research,” she explains. “Hard work, even though they have been producing for major brands for 150 years. Two years ago, I went to their factory in Todtnau and met the family and team and saw their amazing manufacturing process.”
Kellerbursten is known for its brushes which are manufactured in [the valley in the] Black Forest and Van Hoven says the brand is a perfect fit.
“We have always had some sort of brushes in our range from day one. It has taken a long time to find a company that fulfils all that we need.
“Our tag line is ‘where useful is beautiful’ and the brushes are just that. We specialise in traditional and authentic wares and love the continuous family origins of five generations,” she adds.
Kellerbursten brushes are made from natural, eco-responsible materials. They use FSC woods, with all the shavings from manufacturing used for heating their buildings in winter or making their pallets in summer.
“All the components we stock are of natural origin, from plant fibres to goat hair from long haired goats.
“Although brushes exist in Australia, Kellerbursten covers all needs. Retailers love the quality and the practicality of natural brushes. They wear better than plastic and work better.”
Heaven in Earth continually releases ranges during the year and new products at every trade show including new hairbrushes, and a very unique range of vegan brushes.
However, Van Hoven says that they will always bring in anything that a customer asks for, if they do not presently stock it.
“Kellerbursten covers everything from pet brushes, to hair and body brushes to utilitarian household brushes. We presently hold over 100 SKUs of natural brushes in stock.
“I dare you to try their brushes. You won’t go back, from the best bristle hairbrush to unsurpassed dish and nail brushes.”
