Latin American drapery designs launch at AGHA Sydney Gift Fair
Australian drapery brand, Prêt-à-Portière, launched a new collection of Latin American inspired designs at AGHA Sydney Gift Fair recently.
The range draws on founder Alice Orozco’s Latin American roots, and Orzoco says she hopes the designs will inspire others to be bolder with their choice of drapery.
“Until now, most ready-made curtains on the market have been completely unacceptable for most medium to high end homes in Australia, and in some cases simply lack any inspiration,” she says.
“The newest collection from Prêt-à-Portière is an introduction of my own heritage into my designs. I hope to show other designers that South America has much to offer Australia when it comes to fresh design that goes beyond the typical avenues of inspiration.”
Orzco founded Prêt-à-Portière in 2012 with the aim of producing quality curtains that will suit any home.
Unlike other non-custom drapes on the market, Orzco says Prêt-à-Portière’s ready-to-hang ranges use elegant fabrics, precision cuts and beautiful designs for innovative window coverings that add style to a room.
The new collection comes as the company unveils a new ‘self-serve’ program, which gives retailers the opportunity to offer customers unique, made-to-order curtains without needed to become experts.
