Ikea teams up with British fashion designer for new range
British fashion designer Kit Neale is bringing his bold patterns and prints to Australia as part of a colourful collaboration with Ikea.
The limited edition collection called SPRIDD is making its debut this month down under before it rolls out worldwide in 2017.
In time for summer, the range explores music, youth culture and the sounds and experiences that play a role in defining who we are and what we stand for.
“Music enhances and shapes our identities, it connects us digitally and socially, it reflects our likes and dislikes, inspires our style in the way we dress and curate our space,” says Neale.
“SPRIDD is a pick ‘n’ mix selection to embody the energy and culture of youth.”
Inspired by music culture, the collection is designed for people on the move, whether they’re at a music festival or on a summer road trip. It is loosely based on three music styles which create the basis for this eclectic range that includes tents, bags, boxes, rugs, mugs, bowls, travel mugs and cushion covers.
“Kit Neale’s designs and prints are all about youthful energy and attitude,” says Ikea country interior design manager, Tiffany Buckins.
“His creative expression brings together music, travel and fashion resulting in an incredibly fun and electrifying range unlike any other Ikea has released. SPRIDD is our way of making the everyday easier and more exciting, both inside and outside the home.
“At Ikea we are excited to be bringing products created by high-end designers, like Kit Neale, into Australian homes.”
This unique and innovative new collection is part of a range of collaborations between Ikea and fashion designers and is now available in stores.
