Scanpan celebrates 60th anniversary
Iconic Danish cookware manufacturer Scanpan is celebrating its 60th year in business with brand ambassador Matt Moran.
The company, which is distributed in Australia by Sheldon and Hammond, partnered with the Australian chef, restaurateur and author last year.
“I use Scanpan at home and in our restaurants as for me, it’s the best cookware on the market,” he says.
“Their uncompromising cookware products I have been using for six years… as they are at the forefront of innovation and technology.”
Although many things have changed over the past six decades, the fundamental elements of Scanpan products have remained the same, and the company continues to focus on outstanding quality and design.
Scanpan was the first company to develop a true non-stick coating without the use of PFOA (used in the production of Teflon), and the company is proud of the fact that its specially developed GreenTek coating is free of PFOA at all stages of the manufacturing process.
Today, the brand is known for being a market leader in cookware technology, with innovations including its patented ceramic titanium that makes pans non-stick, meaning consumers can cook with little to no oil or fat and the pans are easy to clean.
To celebrate its milestone birthday, Scanpan has released a 60th anniversary 26cm fry pan that features the original waffle-textured cooking surface updated for modern living with induction capability. An anniversary three piece cookware set, which includes a 24cm fry pan and four litre Dutch oven with lid, is also available.
