Toodles Noodles launches to Australian market
New Zealand boutique gift and stationery company, Toodles Noodles, launched to the Australian market at First Instyle this month.
Owner Liora Saad says that while the New Zealand market has been great for the company, she knows there is demand for her products from across the ditch.
“Our products have been selling well online to people in Australia for a few years now, so it’s time to see what retailers in Australia think of our products,” she says.
“We’re just shy of 10 stockists in Australia at the moment but hope that number jumps significantly after Life Instyle.”
Saad began her business in 2011 after noticing a gap in the New Zealand market for nice wrapping paper and greeting cards, and has since developed Toodles Noodles into a lifestyle brand.
She now offers eco-friendly products including notepads, tote bags, tea towels, baby onesies, wall art and ceramics that are colourful and a bit cheeky.
Saad gets inspiration for the designs from all areas of life but says she strives to keep them positive and quirky. This season, for example, her designs are all about your ‘happy place’.
“We see a lot of negativity and cynicism out there today, so it’s important to offset that with a breath of fresh air now and then,” she explains.
“It has been a fun journey evolving a little stationery hobby in downtown Wellington into a full-time business, with a lifestyle range stocked in stores around the world.”
