SodaStream collaborates with two star Michelin chef
SodaStream has partnered with New York based chef Paul Liebrandt for a new flavour line called Sparkling Gourmet.
The range includes 12 new flavour combinations divided into three groups―herbs, fruits and flowers―all using natural flavouring and only featuring natural ingredients.
Adding his own unique approach to the new line, Liebrandt’s flavour combinations include Green Apple and Cucumber, an interpretation of a summer’s day in an English garden, and Sea Buckthom, revealing a more northern European influence with overtones of passion fruit and orange.
“I am thrilled to be collaborating with SodaStream on the Sparkling Gourmet line,” he says. “This partnership gives me the chance to share my flavour memories of herbs, flowers and fruits. To be creative in the medium of sparkling water is a unique and exciting opportunity, as water is the basis from which all flavours originate.”
Other flavours include Lime Basil, Vanilla Lemon, Blackcurrant Lime, Sassafrass Black Cherry, Raspberry Lychee Rose, Yuzu Mandarin, Hibiscus Blackberry, Shiso Yuzu, Green Apple Coriander and Passionfruit Rosehip.
SodaStream’s managing director for Australia, Mark Fenton, expects Liebrandt’s unique range to be a hit with Australian consumers.
“We’re very excited to bring Paul Liebrandt’s Sparkling Gourmet line to Australia as we are committed to innovation and are always looking to inspire and delight sparkling water drinkers,” he says. “Paul Liebrandt has designed an extraordinarily unique flavour line which will no doubt pique the interest of local food enthusiasts.”
The new range is capsule based and sold in boxes of four, and will be available in stores from October 2015.
