Art at Home expands portfolio with South African brand
Australian based homewares distributer, Art at Home, has taken on exclusive distribution of Carrol Boyes’ Functional Art Collection, which will be available in Australia for the first time.
Caryn Hanley, director of Art At Home, was given her first piece 19 years ago and has been passionate about the iconic South African designer ever since.
“Having come from there originally, when the opportunity arose to be the exclusive importer of such an iconic South African designer, I knew that it was something that I wanted to share with fellow Australians,” she says.
Carrol Boyes is an internationally renowned designer and homewares brand that has done well in both the US and the UK markets. Just last year, US retailer Bloomingdales began stocking the Carrol Boyes Functional Art collection.
“We are currently implementing a national PR campaign to help build brand awareness and will continue to develop strong relationships with Australian retailers and provide support to our stockists. The Carrol Boyes Functional Art collection is so unique and unlike anything else here and I am confident that it will be well received by Australians.”
Embodying the philosophy that ‘Living is an Art’, the range includes a vast selection of contemporary furniture, flatware, tableware, dinnerware and tableware accessories that bring a sense of humour and joy to the home or office.
With over 1,000 pieces to choose from, the quirky, yet functional designs are handmade in a fusion of metals and materials, including pewter, stainless steel, aluminium, chrome-plated alloy, wood, leather, ceramics and fabric.
Founded in 1989, the Carrol Boyes Group of Companies supports the local community in Africa and is committed to improving its welfare, with a dedicated focus on skills development, training implementation and growth.
