Apsley and Company goes back to basics for new range
Inspired by the artistry of making goods by hand, Apsley and Company has created the Abode Aroma Artisan range for a vintage yet modern style of home fragrance products.
The range of candles and diffusers is a response to our fast paced world in which quality is sometimes reduced by the large scale of production.
“With the Artisan range, we wanted to go back to basics, encapsulating a range inspired by the time-honored artistry of crafting goods by hand, and drawing from raw, recycled materials that have both a vintage but also very modern and contemporary feel, that fits into any home,” says Helen Armstrong, Apsley and Company managing director.
Fragrances include lemon zest, velvet plum, Oolong tea and amber wood. In an Australian first they are hand embossed with high performance cotton wicks and intense scents designed to reflect those experienced in mid-century kitchens. Packaging has a ‘refined retro feel’.
“Whilst organic, eco and recycled products have been around for a while, this concept is becoming more and more popular, and our range offers a refined, modern twist on this theme. The major US and British retailers have strong offerings of products with this look at present so we see this range as right ‘on’ trend,” explains Armstrong.
The Artisan range was first launched at the Top Drawer Fair in London earlier this year and was well received. Australian retailers are also embracing the range before it’s exhibited at the Sydney Home and Giving Fair and starting to place orders.
“With the launch of both Artisan and another entirely new range, Hue, you could say we are very excited. Here’s hoping for another great fair.”
