French Bazaar brings Bloomingville to Australian shores
Looking to extend its range of homewares and decorative items, French Bazaar has taken on distribution of popular Danish brand Bloomingville.
French Bazaar director, Virginie Taylor, says Bloomingville had already received many enquiries from Australian retailers so it was the perfect time to bring the brand down under.
“I fell in love with Bloomingville a few years ago during one of my trips to Paris and reading various French blogs and websites,” she says. “In the last few years, the brand has won an important place in the fashion European homewares industry.”
Its collection includes a mix of homewares, decorative products and furniture and fits in perfectly with the other European designed ranges in French Bazaar’s portfolio.
“Even though the designers we selected have all different styles, the products mix and match well together. Our selection reflects what you would find in a Parisian trendy boutique – Mr & Mrs Clynk is vintage design, Minilabo poetic and Bloomingville is Scandinavian style.”
The unique Bloomingville style is a mixture of raw products with a nostalgic Scandinavian twist and reproductions of fantastic pieces from times past inspired by French vintage style. For winter it has all the right pastel colours of the season – winter blue, mint and nude pale rose as well as many items in copper, brass and marble.
Officially launching at the Melbourne Reed gift fair and Life Instyle Sydney next month, Taylor says feedback has been amazing so far, with many shops welcoming the opportunity to buy Bloomingville in Australia.
“It was quite hard to make the first [Bloomingville] selection as we loved every single item in the range. We decided to start with a substantial range of homewares and some decoration items, however, due to the demand more products are already on the water. We are planning to have new shipments every eight weeks with a larger selection of design products such as votives, vases, frames, rugs, doormats, etc.”
