Pewter maker Royal Selangor has been appointed exclusive distributor of Italian brand Guzzini in both Australia and New Zealand.
General manager Andrew McLean discovered the brand at Ambiente in Frankfurt earlier this year and believes it will fit in perfectly with the company’s other ranges.
“Over 100 years of family heritage and design has a very strong synergy with our existing brands Royal Selangor and Boska Holland,” he says. “Guzzini is a reputable global brand of high quality products which complements our existing Royal Selangor and Boska brands and will fill a gap in the market.”
Products are made in Italy from high quality materials that are food contact tested, BPA free and dishwasher safe. The company has over a century of Italian design experience and is known for its ability to make simple but valuable items by combining functionality with a stylish design.
“Guzzini has a diverse range of products from tableware and unique decorative items to kitchen utensils and wall clocks. The product assortment includes acrylic, glass and porcelain materials,” says McLean.
Royal Selangor will take on about 100 products to start with and will be adding to the assortment next year.
The new collection will hit stores from early July and will also be on display at the Melbourne Home & Giving Fair in August, where Guzzini will have its own dedicated space within the Royal Selangor stand.
