Inspired by the current trend for all things shiny, Sydney textile studio Dandi has developed a collection of cotton tea towels with a metallic spot print.
Dandi designer Caroline Davis describes the Confetti range as “stylishly on point”, and says that the silver and gold foil prints will bring a glamorous and warm touch into the home for winter.
“We couldn’t help but notice the huge trend for metallic in interiors at the moment, and we are big fans ourselves,” she says. “It’s also no secret that we love a polka dot tea towel, so the confetti spot seemed like a nice step forward. Combining the two was a fun and exciting process and we are thrilled with the results.”
Davis says the tea towels will work well with Dandi’s past collections, which have often featured botanical prints. “We always mix and match, pattern on pattern is the go as far as we are concerned.
“We have styled these with our bamboo range and organic cotton succulent range with great success.”
The collection has been designed in Dandi’s Neutral Bay studio and made in Tamil Nadu, India, using super absorbent, woven herringbone cotton, and finished with corner tassels in a matching metallic fleck.
The tea towels are expected to hit shelves at the start of July, and Davis says we could see more products with the fun print in future, so watch this space.
“At this stage we have a couple of ideas in the pipeline for metallic prints, but nothing firmed up as yet.”
