Retail products on show at Sydney trade event
A two day trade expo in Sydney will offer Australian businesses a great opportunity to meet with potential suppliers from China.
Nearly 70 Chinese manufacturers from the province Guangdong will be showcasing their products with more than 400 Australian representatives expected to attend.
Starting on Monday 25 May, Huizhou Products Expo coordinator, Cindy Xin of Ausfeng Events, says the free event is a great opportunity for Australian companies to learn more about dealing with China at a business-to-business level.
“The key to a successful business relationship in China is personal contact,” she says. “There is no substitute for meeting face-to-face with your Chinese business partners and there is no greater guarantee in getting the best prices and the best service from suppliers.
“The Huizhou Products Expo will feature some of the latest products and designs across a wide range of manufacturers, this gives Australian businesses a great opportunity to meet with potential suppliers and gain a great insight into doing business with China.”
More than 1,000 products will be on display including home and kitchenware, women’s and children’s fashion, toys, textiles, home appliances, and arts and crafts. Xin says this Chinese delegation is one of the biggest to visit Australia since the signing of the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA).
“The Chinese Government is making a concerted push to move away from Made in China manufacturing to Created in China brands. To do this regional governments are offering tax incentives, subsidies and other concessions to encourage the manufacture of higher value added products.
“For Australian businesses this means better quality products, better lines of communication with Chinese suppliers and a better range of products and services they can offer their retail customer base. Exhibitors at the Huizhou Products Expo currently supply a number of leading Australian retailers such as Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Betta Electrical, Bing Lee and Domayne.”
The expo will be held at the Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park and registration is still open at www.huizhouexpo.com.au
