Sydney Fragrance lights up fashion week
Adding some extra flavour to an already much anticipated fashion show, Sydney Fragrance introduced its latest collection of candles at Akira Isogawa’s show at MBFWA 2015.
Guests to the show were treated to the wonderful smell of the new lemongrass and ginger fragrance, which was infused throughout the room to create ambience.
Sydney Fragrance owner and creative director, Jai Evans, explains that fragrance can evoke emotion in the same way fashion can, transporting us to a time or place.
“We love the idea that fragrance was able to be involved in the incredible theatre of Akira’s MBFWA show,” he says. “It’s our ambition that fragrance be at the forefront of creative minds when designing any type of atmosphere—in the home, restaurants, even fashion shows. And as Sydney Fragrance is the fragrance of fashion, what better place for us to launch our range.”
Isogawa adds that the “the lemongrass and ginger fragrance was certainly a lovely compliment to my show, and I have known Jai Evans for years and I’m just so happy he has launched his new company”.’
The new range was inspired by Sydney’s unique style, says Evans, and currently includes 15 fragrances. All candles are handmade locally in the company’s Sydney-based workshop.
