Littleville, an online collective of over 50 of Australia’s best boutiques and small businesses selling baby, children’s and maternity products recently turned one.
The site was initially born out of founder Bec Butler’s frustration at the lack of unique and high quality Australian baby products available online.
“I knew Australia was brimming with beautiful boutiques and unique smaller sellers but I just couldn’t find them online,” says Butler.
Pregnant and based in London at the time, Butler wanted to start shopping to prepare for the arrival of her first baby. “Maybe it was the hormones but I decided there and then that I really wanted to help Australian small businesses get out there and compete online.”
Since starting, Littleville has grown 400 per cent and now stocks over 2,000 products. “We’ve only just started really, but the growth we’ve experienced in our first year has been amazing,” says Butler.
“Shoppers just love the convenience of being able to buy from as many sellers as they like in one transaction – it’s a real time saver for parents and those looking for gifts.”
Butler, who is due to give birth to her second child any day, understands the appeal of the site for new parents. “We’ve handpicked the best products from the best boutiques and small businesses in Australia, so shopping online for your little ones is as easy and enjoyable as it should be.”
