VISIT Merchandise introduces B2B e-commerce site
Leading Australian souvenir wholesaler VISIT Merchandise has developed a business to business (B2B) e-commerce site, VISIT Online, after increasing demand from retailers for an online option.
“Increasing requests by customers for an online ordering option galvanised an idea we had kicking around for ages,” says John Hanstein, managing director of VISIT Merchandise. “There are plenty of retail online sites for souvenirs and Australiana but nothing much for the retailers who work directly at the trade level.”
The site will allow retailers to view VISIT Merchandise’s catalogue and place orders online. It will also keep track of purchasing history, account information, backorder information, and invoice copies. Using the order template retailers will be able to view a list of products purchased over the past two years with a simple box to fill in to re-order.
“More and more customers want to order at times that suit them, not just when our sales team are in store,” says Hanstein. “Many of our customers are also in remote places so it is hard or impractical to get them in person. VISIT Online will open its doors to customers via their computers or mobile devices.”
As it is strictly trade-only, customers will need a retail business to access the site.
