Etsy and West Elm team up for pop-up shop
Online handmade and vintage marketplace Etsy will enter the bricks and mortar retail world for a pop-up appearance in West Elm Sydney and Melbourne.
The pop-up marketplace will feature selected Australian Etsy sellers at the Bondi Junction and South Yarra locations from 1pm to 6pm, June 21.
“We’re really excited to be working with West Elm on this collaboration, which is made more significant for the fact that we’re showcasing Australian designers in such an iconic homewares store,” says Helen Souness, Etsy Australia and New Zealand managing director.
“Initiatives like these are driven by our desire to create more opportunities for our local makers and sellers, and help generate a more personal experience for shoppers by bringing the who, how and why behind a product to the forefront.”
The pop-up is part of an ongoing partnership between West Elm and Etsy that has allowed Etsy sellers to bring their goods to a new audience. Other cities to have taken part in similar projects include New York, London, Los Angeles and New York.
