The 29th edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair is returning and will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 to 30 April. Along with the debut of three new product zones, the fair provides an even-larger product range for sourcing and enhances business opportunities.
“Our company specialises in deluxe souvenirs jewelleries and the Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair gives us a great platform to reach our target markets,” says exhibitor Ronno Ip, chief designer at OAPES. “Buyers from Germany, London, New York, Japan, Singapore and the Chinese mainland have shown interest in our products.”
Facing ever-changing market needs, this year’s Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair has three new product zones that cater to the latest trends and needs of the market. Understanding that Christmas is one of the most popular seasonal holidays and is widely celebrated, HKTDC introduces new zone Christmas Lighting, which offers products such as LED lights and light bulbs for Christmas decorations.
Two other new thematic zones include Travel Souvenirs Piazza, which features souvenir items such as key chains and mugs with heavily embedded cultural elements, and Avenue of Inspiration, which promotes and showcases products by young talented designers.
New lines from UK design firm B³ Design’s innovative homewares, gadget and quirky giftware ranges will also be on show at the fair and have already received industry acclaim – the RAF messenger bag, giant inflatable beach ball and trophy mug have all been shortlisted for the UK Giftware Association’s Gift of the Year 2014.
“This Hong Kong show is extremely important for us and our design team has been working incredibly hard to create ranges that the international buyers will love,” says Ian Williams, managing director of B³ Design. “We are really confident that our new products will impress and are excited to unveil them next month.”
