Robert Gordon Australia to impress with new stand
Ceramics company Robert Gordon Australia has doubled the size of its trade fair stand for the August Home & Giving Fair at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition centre and redesigned it to give products a stronger visual backdrop in line with the fashion driven nature of the retail industry.
Designed by Bobby Gordon, the new exhibit will give the brand a wide range of possibilities for merchandising product.
“This year we have played with the notion of product specific displays whereby the product on display has a unique connection to the display it is placed on,” he says.
“In the past where we have used conventional racking to display our product we felt that it was somehow lost in translation in the sense [that] a lot of the product was down low and away from the customers’ view. This year we have placed a real emphasis on unfolding the story to the customer as easily as possible.”
Robert Gordon’s new stand has also been designed to represent the company’s Australian made and owned heritage.
Retailers who visit the stand will see the launch of the Carnival collection which was inspired by Australia’s beach culture and a day out for ice cream. It includes paper and porcelain ceramic products such as ice cream cups and lemonade bottles.
The company will also release a tea themed collection. “The Tea Trail is an exciting new product whereby we sought inspiration from the worlds of high tea. The early areas of investigation began with researching historical scenes of Indian and British high tea,” he explains.
“The tea trail is made of fine bone china and has… a tea cup and saucer, side plates, 2 tier cake stands, tea pot, tea ball and infuser.”
