TNW celebrates 30 years in business
TNW Australia has credited its success to quality service as it marks its 30th anniversary since launching the business.
Owner and director Chris Noel says it has been a thrill to be able to offer products that enhance development and fun.
“Over our 30 years of business we have adopted a genuine interest in products that offer children and young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and play and maintain that these elements are essential to a child’s development and our company ethos,” he says. “Plus we enjoy the satisfaction of getting new products into market and seeing them sell through our customers. I enjoy going to work each day.
“I can honestly say it feels like a huge achievement. It feels satisfying to have made it through so many years. When I look back on all the hurdles, obstacles and deviations we’ve faced along the way, I let out a big sigh…”
Among Noel’s proudest achievements are being able to support his kids well – one of the reasons for starting TNW with wife Jane – and creating strong relationships with employees, customers and suppliers.
His goals for the future include adjusting to changes in the retail sector as they arise and improving their service and products to help retailers in the tough climate.
“We have to balance service against cost and reach the right decisions,” he explains. “As an example, we try to encourage online sales with smaller stores. This is a great tool for customers viewing our complete range at their convenience and in situations where it may be costly or difficult for a sales rep to visit an area frequently.
“These are medium term goals. Like all companies we must remain profitable if we are to offer new product opportunities to our retailers and advancement to our employees.”
TNW will celebrate with a cake and birthday sale in June.
