Dandi goes organic for new range
Textile and homewares brand Dandi has launched its first organic cotton collection, which features the new succulent design.
The range was produced to complement Dandi’s sustainable bamboo products and as part of the label’s move to reduce its impact on the environment.
Available in two colours, products in the collection include tablecloths, napkins, oven mitts, pinis, ironing board covers and the new heart shaped pot holders.
“This is our first collection using certified organic and unbleached cotton,” says Manuela Strano, Dandi designer. “This means that it is a 100 per cent natural material which has been grown and processed without chemicals. We have also for the first time used a reverse screen printing technique in which we print the colour around the motif pattern instead of the motif pattern onto a base cloth.”
Retailers first saw the organic cotton range at Reed Gift Fair Sydney and were pleased with the new designs and packaging options.
“The new range was received really well, especially the heart shaped oven mitts. There was great feedback on the neutral colours and retailers were excited to see that we are expanding our eco-friendly ranges with many new stockists who specialise in sustainable and organic goods coming on board.”
Dandi plans to expand the range with more colours and patterns based on the popularity of the launch collection.
