Gibson Importing redesigns websites
Gibson Gifts and Unity Gifts are on track for their biggest month of internet sales after their websites were given a makeover.
The new sites were created to make the online ordering experience for retailers quicker and easier as well as making them faster and easier to navigate.
Managing director, Jamie Moir, says the look of the website was inspired by the company’s product philosophies.
“[The design is] for Gibson to be seen as an on trend focused gift company with something for everyone,” he says. “With the Unity site we have aimed to present more fashion and lifestyle images to highlight the different collections.”
New features include a rotating best-sellers display on the home page, a cross-selling function and an easy customer login and registration process.
Social media is an important part of the new website. Gibson and Unity continue to be active on Facebook and Twitter.
“Social media is a tool to better communicate with our customers, sales team and also maximise our online exposure.
“We engage our friends and followers including our customers, retailers, advertising companies, trade magazines and gift fair organisers, providing latest product launches and industry news.
“We have made it as simple as possible for customers to share our news with others by incorporating social media to showcase our Twitter feed, Facebook posts and YouTube video.”
The company plans to remain committed to a strong web presence to enhance business opportunities.
“Technology and social media change fast, it is important to stay with the times as it is an investment for our future business. We have developed a digital marketing strategy which moving forward will be our blue print for both Gibson and Unity websites.”
