Veggie twister carves it up for breast cancer charity support
oceania trade link (otl) has released its veggie twister in pink to help raise cash for the national breast cancer foundation (nbcf).
the distributor has a long-standing relationship with the organisation and has so far donated $37,000.
“we decided to launch the pink veggie twister as we already had the veggie twister in green,” says sara ashmore-smith, otl administration manager.
“this product is very successful and we wanted to launch something to coincide with mother’s day. we see our contribution to nbcf very rewarding as i feel we have all been touched by this disease.
“the relationship between otl and nbcf started in 2007 with our kyocera ceramic knife range. we felt we could all relate to this cause as it certainly affects a lot of women in all our communities. kyocera were happy to make a pink knife to showcase the theme.”
veggie twister is a favourite among foodies for its ability to turn ordinary dishes into stunning displays.
“it turns vegetables into attractive designs in seconds. created in switzerland and made in germany, it is easy to store in your kitchen design and is brilliant for that professional garnish. you can create either spirals or spaghetti finishes out of a range of vegetables. you can even make onions without crying for your next barbecue,” she adds.
