Girl of All Work stationery hits store shelves
retailers have found success with the girl of all work stationery brand which was picked up for australian distribution by mackay & gerrish.
many of the supplier’s clients have taken on the label and quickly found the products to be a strong seller.
“one of them sold out of the full range of page pals and page flags in 12 hours… that’s pretty exciting,” says chris dibley, managing partner. “i think this brand just offers something very easy to pick up and purchase for almost everyone but especially women.”
girl of all work was founded by young american designer dyna kau three years ago. in the us it is stocked in funky stores like anthropology.
“we were aware of this brand from contacts in the gift industry and so had a direct introduction from these very kind people. given my wife and partner karen’s background as a graphic designer, there was also an immediate affinity with dyna, who is the head designer and founder and is a bachelor of fine arts graduate of the prestigious art centre college of design, one of the world’s most famous design institutions for over 80 years. the ladies speak the same two languages (english and graphic design).”
dibley believes girl of all work fits in well with mackay & gerrish’s business philosophy and product staple.
“our company is all about providing things which are beautiful and boutique for our retailers to sell, to give our retail clients an edge over their competitors and the opportunity to increase their ‘docket average’. we are a house of art brands and girl of all work is another expression of that philosophy,” he adds.
