Tetris signs Australian licensing agent
non-electronic tetris merchandise will arrive down under after the company signed an australian sub-agent.
industry veteran grahame allan – through his business grahame allan & company – has added the brand to his current portfolio. he’ll license tetris into apparel, footwear, accessories and homewares with products to be announced later this year.
allan says he’s thrilled to be taking on such a high profile brand.
“it’s a real privilege to be able to introduce such a well-established and celebrated brand as tetris to a new market for non electronic merchandise,” he says. “tetris already has an enormous following throughout the world, recognisable across every age group. we’re confident that the tetris themed products will be very well received across australia.”
the tetris company has also signed mondo tv consumer products to license merchandise in italy, spain, portugal and greece.
tetris products are sold in more than 50 languages and the game continues to be popular years after its release. it is one of the best-selling mobile games in the world and 35 million tetris battle games are played daily on facebook.
