Escargot launches new website
kids and baby clothing brand escargot has unveiled its new website to interact with customers and support the growth of the business.
director kate zarboch says the site’s design reflects the brand’s philosophy of letting kids be kids.
“it’s bright and fun but still quite classic, so there’s not too much [happening] on each page just showing the range in the best way we can,” she adds.
on the website, customers can view stockist names, see the entire collection, read about escargot and access its facebook page to connect with other fans. a wholesale section is expected to be up and running in time for the new range to be launched in february.
“we’ve had a fantastic response to the website. it’s a lovely way to showcase our brand because it shows the entire collection, so people who thought perhaps we just did milk cotton jumpsuits or swimwear can see that we do apparel [as well], so we’ve had a lot of hits and nice responses back about that.”
zarboch believes an internet presence is vital to being in business these days.
“in this day and age, getting out to your consumer and building the brand, you really need to have a website. we see it as a way to showcase the brand to help support our stockists and [reach] more people, we can go international because we can deliver overseas,” she explains.
“one of the big advantages about us having a website and facebook page is that we can communicate directly with our consumers and stockists to build the brand – the direct feedback we have received so far has been invaluable in helping us design the next collection. without this direct link to our consumers, the new collection would have evolved in a very different direction.”
a facebook promotion for stockists – who can win $250 of free stock by posting a photo of how good the products look in their store or on their website – starts this week.
