Kids reveal most wanted toys for Christmas
aussie children have had their say on which toys they want to see under the christmas tree this year in a mission future toys survey of more than 1,500 boys and girls from across the country.
“every year, each toy company releases what they hope will be the top toys for christmas,” says sarah cartwright, marketing and communications manager at funtastic, which runs the website.
“this year we decided to take a different tact and ask kids what they thought. through our ongoing relationship with australian kids on mission future toys we know how much they like to be heard and their opinions are so important to us.”
preschoolers voted the razor junior scooter as their number one in the missionduturetoys poll, while most boys want a razor ridrider 360 but girls would like the squinkies cupcake surprize! bake shop.
“our results reinforce that kids like a diverse range of toys. the number one girls product is highly collectible, cute and shareable while the boys number one is all about action packed outdoor fun. overall we saw top contenders feature traditional play patterns, innovative technology, classic plush and remote control,” adds cartwright.
the survey showed 58.5 per cent of aussie kids get between one and five toys with most writing a wish list although the majority said they didn’t receive what they asked for.
