New Dreamfarm products to be launched at Reed Gift Fair this week
recognised as two of the brightest emerging stars on the australian landscape of invention and design, cate and alex gransbury will uncover two new products under their innovative dreamfarm label this weekend at reed gift fair.
“after a huge 2010, which included six new products, a prestigious international red dot design award, the opening of the barn door concept store, an appearance on abc’s new inventors, and managing director alex gransbury’s recognition as one of queensland’s best and brightest for 2010, we have still found the time to invent two brand new products for the start of 2011,” says dreamfarm’s cate gransbury.
held from february 19 to 23 at the sydney convention and exhibition centre in darling harbour, reed gift fair will form the backdrop for the unveiling of dreamfarm’s two new products, the creatively named membo and 15” bbq clongs.
based on the team’s original red dot design award-winning clongs, the redone 15” bbq clongs roll barbeque tongs and tools into one genius apparatus that retails for a recommended $34.95 and promises to be just as popular and versatile as its predecessor.
with the name derived from the term ‘click-lock sit up tongs’, the 15” bbq clongs feature a spring loaded handle, lock function, in-built sausage cutter and tips designed both to pick up small food morsels and scrape barbeque trays.
“just like the original clongs, the 15" bbq clongs open and lock closed with just the click of a button, so you can use them with one hand and keep the other free,” says gransbury.
“they also have a unique bend in the handle that lifts the tips away from the bench top, keeping your cooking surface clean and your food hygienic.”
the membo, which playfully references letters in the phrase ‘remember to do it’, is a devise used to display memos and communicate to others whether or not these tasks have been completed.
“membo takes the guess work out of whether or not a job has been done. when a daily task has been completed, just flip the tile to let yourself and others know that the job has been done for that day,” gransbury says.
each membo comes with magnetic and adhesive strips so can be affixed to a variety of places and surfaces and retails for a recommended $24.95.
the handy device also comes with dog, cat, fish and tick icons that consumers cut out and slot into the tiles.
